As we enter 2025 together and approach the 15th year of the House of Pomerantz, I sit with feelings of introspective gratitude and renewed drive in forming connections. Specifically, connections to product, intrinsic quality, and finding ways to deliver ephemeral value, time and again. At Mark Pomerantz I endeavor to help you form a connection… with a person, a product, and yourself, creating an experience with clothing that becomes an extension of your identity.
Twenty-four years ago I was struck by an inequity in luxury designer clothing. I realized that the best quality craftsmanship was not in line with the best quality finishing, and the point of sale should be elevated away from traditional “box” boutiques where one model of service does not fit all. My conclusion — to found a private client designer brand forming a connection between classic bespoke menswear values, with haute couture quality, exclusivity, and relationships. A brand where the client experience is in line with the quality of the product, in a private ratio of 1:1, client and designer, designer and product.
With a heart full of passion, I thank you for being a part of this vision and fostering the ideals of Mark Pomerantz. You are part of a unique group of individuals who value quality, expertise, experience, and service; the very same values that help build your personal success. As our relationship grows together I want to share three ideals around which the foundation of Mark Pomerantz will continue to grow from — Scarcity, Presence, and Reach.
Scarcity… I am proud to be building a brand around scarcity. Utmost, I value and honor your time as scarce and thank you for choosing to share it with me. Within my product offering, we are fortunate to have access to some of the most scarce artisans and materials (many by invitation only) in the world. The result of these partnerships has been three fold. The first, inspired the creation of our Noble Fiber collection, sourced from the finest and rarest animal fleeces on earth. The second is the formation of our Reverie division, which offers you the opportunity to have me design an entire collection with solely you in mind. Reverie is designed to best solve the “what to wear problem” in the most holistic, encompassing, and personal form. The third is the sum of these two parts, ever elevating a singular product quality that is uniquely one-of-one. These concepts of scarcity will trickle their way into our collections with a new seasonal Noble Fiber cloth launching in March, and continued growth of our most exclusive fabric partnerships with Fratelli Delfino as well as new product categories of blue sky vision and quality all marked with our house signature Ram logo and Motif.
Presence… My goal is to create more presence and interconnectivity with our clients this year, helping introduce you to one another and foster new ideas and opportunities amongst us all. We began this charter with our “Evening in the Atelier” cocktail series, which we will continue to do in our Newport Beach Showroom, beginning in February on the first Wednesday of every other month. A convenient way to end the day, start a date or night out, or just stop by to connect with us and other like minded friends of the house. We have also created a new presence in our long standing market of New York City. This month, we will open the “New York Apartment” at 130 West 57th Street. We plan to host additional “Evenings in the Apartment” as well. I invite all of you in any market to visit us in our two home bases at any time. Most importantly, we will be increasing our presence with the addition of our new House Assistant in Monty Smith. Monty comes from a strong menswear and creative background with passions in film and drone photography. His main focus will be to convey the presence of Mark Pomerantz as a brand and person with a keen eye on expanding customer relations and service.
Reach… The post-covid era has been a keen gift of reach in expanding our product offering and assortment with the introduction of our Casual Collection. In 2025 more than ever, my goal is to continue to become a brand not just for the tailoring-focused but for the quality-focused to experience more Mark Pomerantz in their everyday wear. We will be expanding into new accessory categories as well as weaving greater context to bridge our Classic and Casual Collection identities into styled “closets.” The most important part of our reach ideal in 2025 is by way of referral and bringing the Mark Pomerantz experience to others. Those who are style conscious, quality conscious, and desire a connoisseur-driven experience, seeing value in working directly and intimately with a designer such as myself.
